Boise Christmas Events for the Week of 12/1 - 12/7
Kick off the beginning of December with some fun events!
I hope you all got plenty to eat on turkey day! I know I sure did. And the leftovers? Oh man, I’m gonna eat like a king this week 😋
If you’re interested in some Christmas events this week, check these out! There are tons of tree lightings and parades on deck.
Tue Dec 3 - Idaho Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting, 5:30 PM
📍 700 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
The Idaho Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting will be on Tue Dec 3. Festivities will start at 5:30 PM, which includes entertainment, remarks from the Governor and First Lady, complimentary cookies, hot cocoa and coffee. The tree lighting will begin at 6 PM, and festivities end at 7:30 PM.
Wed Dec 4 - Boise State Tree Lighting, 4-6 PM
📍 Boise State Quad, 1910 W University Dr, Boise, ID 83725
Boise State University will hold their Annual Tree Lighting on Wed Dec 4 from 4-6 PM. Holiday music and treats will be provided. The campus community is invited to donate new winter clothing to help students stay warm this season at the event and at donation bins across campus.
Thu Dec 5 - The College of Idaho Holiday Tree Lighting, 6 PM

Join us for the 12th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting! This year, we have an evening full of festivities for the entire family. The Tree Lighting ceremony will once again include traditional carols, warm drinks, holiday treats and an ornament keepsake.
Fri Dec 6 - Mountain Home Hometown Toyland Parade of Lights, 6PM

Join us for a magical evening as Mountain Home transforms into a twinkling winter wonderland! Watch as festive floats, dazzling lights, and holiday cheer fill our streets in this beloved community tradition. See website/Facebook for more details.
Fri Dec 6 - Marsing Christmas Parade & Chili With Santa, 6:15 PM
📍 Main Street, Marsing, ID 83639
Marsing will hold its Main Street Electric Parade with the “Elf on the Shelf” theme on Fri Dec 6. During the parade, warm up at the fire station with chili, cocoa or coffee. Also, come by the American Legion Hall from 10 AM - 4 PM for a holiday market with shopping, food trucks, and a Santa visit from 12-3 PM.
Fri Dec 6 - New Plymouth Lighted Tractor Parade, 6:30P
📍 Downtown New Plymouth, ID 83655
The 4th Annual Lighted Tractor Parade in New Plymouth starts at 6:30 PM on Fri Dec 6, featuring lighted tractors, semi-trailers, vintage trucks, floats and boats. After the parade, join Santa to light the town Christmas Tree and enjoy some caroling. See route/more info at the FB event.

Fri Dec 6 - Meridian Winter Lights Parade & Christmas Festivities, 7PM
Meridian’s Winter Lights Parade floats through old town Meridian, ending with the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Generations Plaza. Come early to watch “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” projected onto the main stage at Idaho & Main Streets, and view the Downtown Decorating Contest.
Fri Dec 6 thru Sun Dec 8 - Boise Christmas Show

Thousands of Unique Gifts, Over 225 Vendors, Visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus! Admission: Adults $5, Seniors (62+) $4, Children 12 & under are Free. Fri & Sat 11AM-7PM, Sun 11AM-4PM.
Fri Dec 6 thru Sun Dec 8 - TRICA’s Snow Globe, Various Times between 4PM-8PM
1406 W Eastman St, Boise, ID 83702
Now in it’s second year, The TRICA Snow Globe is a multi-sensory art experience featuring projections, snowflakes, hot chocolate, and the sights and sounds of winter, in a historic church in Boise’s North End. See website for hours and tickets.
Sat Dec 7 - Boise Holiday Parade, 10AM
Join us this year on December 7th, starting at 10 am for our Boise Holiday Parade that features locally built holiday floats, rad cars, local businesses, school bands and choirs, and so much more! And let's not forget this years theme, "Winter Wonderland"!
Sat Dec 7 - Ontario Winter Wonderland Parade, 1PM
📍 SW 4th Ave, Ontario OR 97914
Each winter, Ontario kicks off the holiday season with the Winter Wonderland Parade. The parade travels down SW 4th Avenue and ends in Downtown Ontario. Marching bands, floats, and Santa are all part of this holiday tradition.
Sat Dec 7 - Boise’s Tuba Christmas, 4PM
📍 Idaho State Capitol, 700 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
Tuba and euphonium players of all ages are invited to join us for Boise’s Tuba Christmas. If you would like to participate, simply show up at 1 PM for registration, and we will begin our rehearsal at 1:30 PM. If you wish to attend the performance as an audience member, please join us at 4:00 PM at the Capitol building in downtown Boise. This event is free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend!
Sat Dec 7 - Star Christmas at the Riverhouse & Tree Lighting, 5-7PM
📍 Star Riverhouse, 960 S Main St, Star, ID 83669
Join us at the Star Riverhouse as we ring in the holidays with seasonal fun for the whole family! Story time with Santa, s'mores by a fire with SWIDBA, cookies & cocoa with the Star Lions, and the Christmas Tree Lighting.

Sat Dec 7 - Treasure Valley Night Light Parade, 6PM
📍 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell ID 83605
It’s timeeee! ✨ Join us for the Treasure Valley Night Light Parade on December 7th at 6 PM. This year's theme is Gingerbread Village. The parade starts on Cleveland/22nd and ends at Cleveland/Kimball.
Sat Dec 7 - Eagle Country Christmas Tree Lighting, 6-8PM
📍 Eagle City Hall, 660 E Civic Ln, Eagle, ID 83616
Eagle Country Christmas has expanded their events this year, and they’ll have their tree lighting event on Saturday from 6-8 PM. See youth performers, Santa and reindeer, enjoy free hot cocoa and snacks, and see all the lights!
Sat Dec 7 thru Sat Dec 14 - Eagle Country Christmas Festival of Trees
📍 Eagle City Hall, 660 E Civic Ln, Eagle, ID 83616
New to Eagle Country Christmas this year is the Festival of Trees, which starts during the tree lighting and runs for an entire week at City Hall. Free to the public, with a recommended clothing donation for the Lions Club. Closed Sun Dec 8.
UPDATE - Tubing at Gateway Parks Eagle
Tubing at Gateway Parks Eagle had opened up their schedule for tubing as early as Thanksgiving, which we reported. They are now reporting they will hopefully open the first weekend of December. See their website and social media channels for the latest!
